Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Mattel is very skilled in layoffs. They get an above expectations. They identify months ahead of time exactly which worker bees are candidates. Man, you know they talk about it. VPs are gathering feedback at one on one meetings with managers, directors, listening for which employee does this and which employee does that. They don't necessarily want to fire a superstar or someone hyper critical. And then they also got to have time to prepare the packages. They claim they don't want to do it - maybe I believe some of them, but man, you can just smell this coming again. You can even read in between the lines in the email communication from the top. There's another wave coming soon. Layoffs are becoming a habit and a convenient solution to please the stockholders. Like flushing a toilet. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they already chose who's gonna go at the next layoff. Can't count on anything anymore. Have a plan, you got to if you work for a company like Mattel.
