Anonymous81612: Man, does anyone really think like that or are you just parroting the usual right-wing claptrap for some reason? You would have to have an agenda to really believe that we should intentionally recruit unmotivated, under-educated adults and charge them out the ying-yang (paid for by taxpayer dollars) without actually training them to be productive citizens. If we really intended to do that, our classes would be from 8:30 - 4:30 and part of a student's grade would be to show up on time, well groomed, and behave respectfully in class. We'd have role-playing to teach them how to interact with co-workers, bosses and customers. What we would not do is put pressure on instructors to pass students through a dumbed down pseudo-college curriculum and then expect them to get and do well at jobs. You do know that we have an extensive community college system in our country, right? Let me guess, does that count as a government hand-out because there's no Jack Massimino and friends becoming multi-millionaires off the proceeds? You're pathetic.

I think going to Harvard costs a bit more than $29,000.00 dollars.

I guess you feel the best thing is to keep giving them more free tax payer money and leave them stay at home. That's the democratic way of thinking, tax the working middle class and give to the underprivileged and lazy. But what the heck, they are giving tax returns to illegals that never paid a cent in taxes.

You're right. If they had any morals, they would be making lots of money off them, saddling them with more debt than if they had gone to Harvard, and made sure the were in the same jobs as before they enrolled.

So, let's see if I got this correct. Durbin and a bunch of other democrats got upset that for-profit schools were enrolling students that are financially depressed, could not pass an entrance exam for a major college, first in their family to go to a college and that only 50% or so gained employment after they graduated. So, what they are really saying is you are too poor and stupid to attend college. The best you can hope for is a minimum wage job cleaning sludge out of a deep fryer. Or, since you are so dumb you should stay at home, take drugs and make more babies. The federal government will take care of you with food stamps, welfare, pay your rent at the projects, give you a free phone and pay all your medicals bills. That's a lot easier and cheaper than trying to make a better life for yourself. I am so glad that Durbin and all those other democrats care so much about the poor and underprivileged to keep them suppressed and living in roach infested apartments dependent on the government.
