SUO PGH Corrective action "Process"?

So, I met with my AM yesterday and was told that my DM is up and that I'd be going on a CAP. It was then that it was suggested that I take a buy out when that time comes. Here's my question, I have been on this team for 2 years, during that time my AM has NEVER hit a plan, even when I did. Why is this allowed to happen? Why are AM's not held to the same level of accountability? It's rediculous. So here's my next question, do I take the buy out? Or do I make my AM actually try to work and help me? Next question, do I go quietly or make this double standard known?

This is how screwed up this place is…. we investigated a VP for ethic violations .... interviews, confirmation with outside parties and etc; yet he is still here and it wall was confirmed. This was the third investigation on this person, yet upper management turned their heads. Why??? It all starts at the top; and there is no accountability.

my understanding (having never been on a cap) is that they(edmc) don't fight anyones unemployment if they are fired or they accept the buyout. Where they would fight it would be if someone voluntarily quit for some other reason. Also from what i see from friends is that you should always ride the cap out unless you have another position available becuase they continue to extend them. they don't want to fire people for performance that's why people get so many chances before they're fired and why the DM and Cap/buyout exist. the buyout isn't termination, it's you quitting. that's what they want. giving you 2 extra paychecks is worth saving face and keeping the performance termination numbers down

Hr is part of the circus. Do 1 of 2 things, sign nothing until they release you for whatever trumped up reason because they will contest any unemployment claim or finally agree it's not the place to be now much less in the future so take the buyout and move on for a career change understanding you were over paid and need to be realistic on working for less with the hope you find an ethical employer not a downward spiral where those responsible prospered as the corporate board turned a blind eye. Peace

Having a CAP on file will make it easier to get rid of you, and most likely what we call a "soft firing" because you will be "technically" let go for not performing to the standards set forth of your job description.

And therefore, your employment was severed because of YOUR lack of ability to perform your job and that makes you ineligible for unemployment, or at least not without a long drawn out fight. Anything they can prove to unemployment to justify you being let go for your own actions is a strike against you. If you haven't already signed the CAP, don't, contest it or write a rebuttal on it saying why you don't agree with it.

Going to HR will do nothing. Is it really worth it to sit around try to productive with the lack of leads and TERRIBLE warm calls? No. Take the buy out, get your money, job hunt and collect unemployment. Less stress and wondering day in and day out if you have a job. If your manager valued you as an employee they would not have put you on a CAP in the first place and actually worked with you. Nature of the beast here. Just get out.

Confused, unfortunately if you work for HP or the midget you are screwed. The decision had already been made. Since they sleep together your situation has probably come up during pillow talk time between those two. Yes, they are banging..shhhhhhh, no one is supposed to know. Not even their boss.

Until this AM/CD corruption stops, no AR's will be treated fairly. We need to babd together...BLOW THAT HOTLINE UP!

How about this suggestion, hit plans and you wouldn't have this dilemma.

No way, make the AM stick it out. Also, request to double check the paperwork submitted. Read the fine print on your DM. Did the AM do as it said? Ask HR to see the paperwork that led to the determination? I personally know an AM that submitted bogus observation forms to get an AR on a cap.
