I've only been at Mattel for a couple of years now, but I've been through quite a few layoffs already. I've never felt as uncertain about my job as I do right now.
My question - If I end up being selected for the layoff, what should I expect in terms of severance, if anything? Do I just get paid for my leftover vacation/sick time or do they add anything extra?

For those who didn't get laid off, are raises and bonuses still coming? Seems weird that they would since so many people just got let go, but the interim CEO said we would be getting them and we didn't really get anything last year either.
Doesn't matter if you worked on it or not - it's Mattel's property. You worked on it on behalf of Mattel, so it's not yours. Don't be an idiot.
seriously? why would anyone take anything off max that wasn't something they worked on? Mattel is clueless no matter what is being monitored.

To those idiots taking about backing up files and taking things off MAX - IT logs all those file transfers. If you take files that aren't personal, you could be in bigger trouble than just getting laid off.

We don't get a box at fp. They escort you out immediately and send your stuff to you later (hr goes thru your stuff and decides if it is yours or the company's). And hr gets your coat.
I'm not sure where I'll land tomorrow, so I've been slowing taking home all of my personal things this past week and backing up all of my files. I guess I'm as ready as need be. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.
They give you a box to pack your stuff and make you leave immediately. They have no compassion. They suck.
Given the cash flow challenges I'd be surprised if I was to get anything, just look at the stock price
I am a newbie too, have the same question. In my old company we got one week per year of service and they also gave us 2 weeks extra. Unvested RSUs were split 50%/50% and they gave us a free 2 months of Cobra plus job placement service which was awful and nobody used it. Good luck to all.
