HLC does not require a ground registrar. Uop and others have not had ground registrars for years. Sorry to disappoint, so if you are a registrar...resume up asap

HLC requires that we have a registrar on ground I believe. They would have to not accredit us for that to happen right?
I don't think it has anything to do with population. It can be handled by a remote regardless of the number of students. After all, you order from Amazon online...no different
But I don't think they have found anyone willing to fill the other registrar position yet. I know that registrar specialist position has to be in Pittsburg. Other RSS are remote and for some reason this one has to be in Pittsburg. What campuses are going to lose a registrar too? Does population factor in?
The RIF is always at start. They don't "need" folks for the orientation. Back fill immediately and move on...besides, without plans being hit there are less students at orientation, that said...the rif will be on or around Good Friday...I had dinner with a dean last week, it is inked, just getting ducks in order. Most registrars that survived last rif will be gone because of the remote registrar process and ep's will be minimized again. Faulty will be hit because of the decrease in enrollments. Culinary is still the life blood at the campus where offered. some programs are being phased out.

EDMC is selling its assets because its going BK and cant afford to keep them. Its delisted itself from the stock exchange because its now considered junk status and would be kicked off. Nice try making them look like they know what they are doing. But truth be told, if they were that smart they would not be in this situation in the first place. Its hand numerous lay-offs over the years usually several hundred at a time. If they were just all slackers, what dose that say about the people who hired them? One or two maybe not hundreds and hundreds. You dont see Google or Apple doing that. But then they are a successful profitable company that dose not have their who business model geared around sucking off money from the government.
Over the past decade EDMC has laid off a remarkably small number of people. It has fired a large number for being lying lazy asses who spend time worrying about layoffs rather than produce. There is not financial indication that any sizable layoffs would occur--it is selling real estate rather than paying interest and fees, it has delisted itself rather than pay enormous accounting fees and it has shored up its debt. The present Obama administration has placed some pitifully weak pressure on these schools which have an inordinately large lobby. Given the rather shrewd and cunning leadership, the worst that will happen is that these schools wil slowly convert to no profits. Don't worry you can continue to lie to minorities, admit students who probably should not have graduated high school and sit around waiting for your next free lunch until you are forced to take government jobs--what a bunch of spineless, whining, lazy and truly ignorant pussies! Now the school is targeting mexicans, you have just struck it rich assholes!
the day before Good Friday is Orientation day at Ai... i doubt they would cause that commotion on top of everything else... especially since alot of the positions rumored to be in jeopardy would be needed
The last RIF was done at the beginning of January for Ai. I know my Dean and Pres. Will be in Chicago Monday before next start. I think everyone needs to quit wondering when it will happen and just find a new job. Or wait to get let go and enjoy unemployment. Stop stressing.
It will be the day before Good Friday. Good Friday was just a reference point.
why do you say Good Friday? that's a holiday systemwide. plus, if they RIF in April aren't they liable for everyone's April Aetna bill?
