Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Camden Kid----Crooks at Syracuse with academic misconduct. Almost certainly Title 4 implications and another state (pure as snow) institution

Almost certainly Title 4 implications and yet more students earning degrees not earned and therefore worthless. Where are you with Senators and Board of Regents given the almost daily example of fraud and misconduct?

I would think you find this outrageous abuse of public funds and criminal behavior all the way to the top!

You self righteous ()$&& piece of dog @&$)!

Syracuse's basketball team -- the part of the university where the abuse occurred -- is being severely punished. Three scholarships per year and suspension of the coach is very severe. The situations are not analogous. Syracuse's situation did not pervade the entire institution.

681: Corinthian and the executives need to be punished severely. However, "real schools" need to get severely punished not just a slap on the wrist.

To quoque logical fallacy: "Corinthian should not be punished for its fraud because real schools sometimes commit fraud (and are punished)."

@74824,75010, 75061, Everest is now advertising itself as part of a "well established non-profit...with a strong committment to student success." Do you think this is ethical, or do you propose the deflect the issue with childish rants and techniques of neutralization?

260: Really? You keep telling that to yourself, make yourself a nice hot cup of cocoa, curl up with your blankie, and rock yourself to sleep. Sweet dreams. Stay precious. You're so cute. Don't grow up too fast.

Also, know that each life matters and we get that at Heald, so I didnt want to make 150 student transformations seem insignificant either.

Not 150 more lives, but years. Needed to be clear on that. Enrollments obviously bigger than 150.

234 nailed it. Real schools are good institutions, of which a few have a few parasites. CCi IS a parasitical institution comprised of parasitic individuals (aside from instructors). Big difference!

Cci supporters are funny. I guess people especially the OP are justifying the wrongs of cci by bringing up real schools. Even though real institutions can be shady as well there is still no comparison to the likes of cci.

OP is right! This has a lot to do with this site since everybody things that the mighty "real" schools can't do anything wrong. Now in 2 weeks we have 2 of the real schools committing fraud. They all get government money too. There is also a "small" university called Pen State. Do we all remember that mess?
