Can anyone confirm that, as an employee, if they are currently enrolled in classes (say, online at AI or Argosy) when they are laid off that they can continue to take classes for free?

Why, you haven't figured it out yet? Duh
Actually EDMC degrees are like a cheap hooker. Feels good for about 5 minutes until you realized you have been scammed and the STDs you just acquired will be with you for the rest of your life. Go take a shower.
Don't kid yourself. Employers who look for upper division degrees know the good schools from the bad. EDMC is like the Green Burrito of education, cheap, fast and full of fake ingredients.
Seriously, dont wast your time. If you get laid off, they will not cover the rest and lets face it, the only reason to take classes there is to look good for the boss. That upper degree from EDMC is a joke. I would not want that on my resume any more then a DUI. If you really want a upper level degree, go to a real college or university. At least 10 years down the road it will be worth something. EDMC Who? Was that a bank?
Who wants to go to a scam school. You are all idiots. These schools are not even recognized by Disney World.
They do it because employees are the only students to have anymore
TUITION GRANTS
Employees may apply for tuition grants for themselves and for members of their families to take courses
offered by the Company’s schools, on a space available basis, after one year of service.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Employees are eligible to apply for assistance after one year of service.
They are not required to pay for classes. It is a perk, not a requirement. Once you are no longer an employee, regardless of firing, quitting, rif...you do not get free classes. Please don't delude yourself into thinking otherwise.
If you are laid off and you are in a current class(es) they will cover those and no more. You will be self pay after that. There is most often no severance. Benefits run through the end of the month and you are offered COBRA.
I was there thru many layoffs and that was always the case. You could continue to take your classes as well as any spouse or child that is enrolled. They aren't required to do so obviously but they did that throughout my tenure at EDMC
