Things are beyond scary at Mattel right now. No one is going to be immune from this round of layoffs coming next week, rumored to be happening on 3/12. Everyone has been saving all of their work feverishly. This could have been managed a hundred different ways to minimize the fractured sense of team in the office but even the VPs don't know what's coming. I guess the crisis in leadership is trickling down from the top. Gee, so glad that paid the big bucks to bring back the golden boy dixon. Can't wait to see him exit out with his package when ToyBox idea doesn't work either. What a shame, there used to be such a focus on innovation and product now it just seems to be a revolving door of leaders coming in and promoting their ill advised agendas. NAD anyone?

The VP's being let go obviously don't. They may know who they have to cut below, but may not know if they themselves are getting cut. If there aren't serious cuts in the VP and director level, this won't work.
