Northwoods big layoff today
Having worked at Northwoods since its inception...yes, there have been lay-offs, this time around. Five of us "volunteers" left Friday, 3/6/15. At least we were able to walk out on-our-own. Prior to that we lost 10 to 15 over the last few weeks. Not sure about the total number, as I mentioned, I worked in the mushroom dept. I have tried to impress upon the younger ones to get under their own steam... I went through this in '86...
Layoff's will continue all over, but bet your last dollar that the number of layoff's will exceed the original estimate. It's a lot easier to start bringing home personal items now. Be prepared to just walk out the door when you get the news. It also sends a message to management when the don't see pictures on your desk or wall. They start to wonder if you found another job.
The list is NOT updated AFTER the layoff, I was on the list for a couple weeks before they let me go last month as eligible.

The list is not useless, and is not necessarily AFTER the fact. There are 2 people from my department on the list for March, one was let go last week and one is still here. I watch this website all the time and the others don't. I am waiting for the day to come that my boss lets the other one go. My guess is it will be later in the month
One more time...the list is updated AFTER the layoffs. You can't tell anything about the list except who has ALREADY been layed off. You could originally tell who was eligible to receive early retirement but that's all been done and over with. Now, the list really serves no purpose but to bring out the assholes who think they're smarter than everyone else. Go to hell.

For we do not understand how to read this sacred list of of dumbasses how will be laid off. With your superior wisdom and guidance maybe you will open our eyes and let us see the true light. Anonymous74581.. And apparently you can not read. The list.. as everyone has plainly stated...is not updated until after the lay off occurs. And some don't even know this list exists until they receive their package. So tell me... How the hell does that help them ? Especially if they think they are safe from this layoff mess. But I guess since you still have a job, you feel the need to act superior by putting someone that was laid off like an idiot. Well.. So it makes more sense to you people to expect to get pertinent information from an anonymous forum posted by anybody with an internet connection than to take 5 seconds to read the layoff list? Congratulations you deserve to be laid off.

Go to the OWBPA report mentioned on this board and f***ing read people the layoff list is there for everyone with an internet connection to see.
