South effective immediately new metrics rolled out for AM and FA. Hr circus for rifs. So what is to be measured for the spring start ie last quarter of edmc fiscal year. Need to cut payroll leading up to the creditors that now own 94% of edmc take over come 1 July

Merger is on hold until EDMC clears it's financial burdens and convinces accreditation body it will survive.

If the merger between AUO and South continues, I believe most of the layoffs will happen along the lines of 'redundant' positions and programs. Does anyone have information about that merger?

For most accreditation, all part-time faculty is not allowed. If they were to lay off all full-time faculty, please immediately contact the organization that accredits your school to file a report. I doubt that all full-time will go, just most of them.

I think that is highly likely considering that payroll burden / benefits for full time employees is approx 38% and benefits do not need be extended to adjunct. reality is drawing neigh....

Do you think full-time faculty will all be let go and replaced with adjunct? I think (my opinion) that all full-time will be let go.

I have to admit, you all are really funny! It wouldn't be half as hilarious if it all weren't painfully true. I used to work for EDMC and I got my pink slip very early in the game. A few years ago I would never believed this could happen or that EDMC would have done anything unethical EVER. I truly thought it was the best place to work anywhere and I LOVED my job. I loved going to work!

My,, how times change. What a shame for the thousands of employees who have believed in EDMC the way I did. When I got my pink slip, my heart was broken. Some days it still is.
