Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Core Values

Just got this memo on implementation of a Core Values Leadership team, looks to be made up of consultants and employees:

"The Business Services Leadership Team will enhance the organization in order to continue on the journeytoward a Core Values organizational (CVO)Model. To that end, we are consolidating the Object Management for Business Services into a cross strata team.

This Core Value thing he has going will just end up flopping. Moral is going to be in the tank after all the layoffs are done. This kind of stuff has no real meaning at the front lines. People are cynical of this crap at the best of times and a lot less when moral just took a shit kicking. Weatherford is cash and share price driven despite all their gems and other things they say. All that you hear from Bernard is cash and share price. Maybe some of these executives should do an undercover boss and see what the people using their hands for the success of the company see.

Here we go again, spending money we don't have by hiring consultants, taking time away from employees who should be working at their real job, instead of serving on yet another committee. Look at the value of the current Core "Bernard Danner"! If he is not replaced, WFT will fail once and for all. When he is replaced with a person of integrity, the rest of the rotten apples will start falling off the tree. Then and only then will WFT have a chance to survive.

If the company had real "core values" it would never have reached the state it is in now. Instead it is always in a state of flux. There is a new company focus every six months while never following through or accomplishing the previous agenda.
