Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

What is in the future for campuses that offer housing?

Will housing be affected by future changes with EDMC? Any predictions on campus lease space? Seems our student population is getting smaller and free space is doubling.

They also used to use the credit extension beyond graduation which many campuses still offer. Most students extended debt 60+ months after graduation and never paid a dime staying in housing over a year for free without making payments. Another example of the idiots running this organization and the dumbasses in financial aid.

True that they can find their own housing and perhaps cheaper, but if they lease on their own, they cannot utilize Title 4 funding for related expenses.

these bank of america postings are totally irrelevant to EDMC, just some postings by a "loose cannon" lunatic.... obviously not familiary with the Layoffs protocol regarding not using names... idiot

Someone’s vandalizing the board by post worthless Bank of America info. Could it be that the information posted in the last few days hit a nerve somewhere in corporate? Just thinking…

Cheaper yes, more convenient now. They can find cheaper education too, but more convenient, no.

Well since it's only basically AI that offers housing, it more than likely will not be offered anymore. A lot of the other brands have a list of suggested local housing (NEVER SUGGESTED) that they will be able to provide to students. Why offer "on-campus" housing when not a single AI school actually has the housing on site? It would be cheaper for students to go out and find their own housing anyways.
