We are all going down. Halliburton total employees number will drop at least between 30,000 to 40,000 employees before the third quarter. Let's just hope the baker deal fails. Baker management will run everything. Total employees between baker and Halliburton will be between 60,000 to 78,000 employees. Wait and see guys. It's just getting started.

You sir, are an idiot. You apparently have no business skills. Please keep your stupidity to yourself.
Thanks,
The entire world.
Well if what I have seen is any sign of the future we are all doomed. HAL has been getting smaller year after year in Canada. The combined BHI/BJ will be the same size as BJ was pre merger in Canada after this cut...BHI never listened to BJ mgmt or employees and the company did nothing but shink since the merger. Let's hope HAL is open to comment and suggestion...and does not remain arrogant. Maybe we can actually grow as one company.
HAL is taking over, given the aggressive nature of our senior executives I can guarantee you that Baker's execs are about to be pulverized. I've seen this happen many times, and things are being aligned right now to strike as soon as the deal is done. Baker execs stand no chance unless they completely submit and ARE lucky. Nothing more to add, let's wait and see.
I think this information is incorrect. HAL is acquiring Baker, and had already threatened in the negotiations last year November to replace Baker Hughes' board if there is no agreement reached. And after the deal closes, Baker Hughes does not exist anymore. The company name will remain Halliburton. 2bn $ in synergies and divestitures probably will end up in another around 20,000 people having to go during the integration.
Too much, in my view
I heard down to 10,000.
5,000 VPs plus a ball washer each. Tough times.
Agree with Anon 70279. Additionally, who's buying whom? HAL isn't buying BHI for their management prowess......
This makes no sense
