Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

I hate the corporate office

There is so much drama, there is so much backstabbing and so much gossip. I know that most large companies are like this and Noble is no different but there is something toxic in the air here that makes me sick ever since I joined (my honeymoon w/Noble was good though, cannot complain there). Now with the layoffs in works it's even worse, I see people playing games and doing favors to senior folks, it's just bad.

I work in the IT support full-time for an indian company. It's been 2 1/2 years and I got a raise which is a slap in the face. NE has a position open for user support manager. I have not applied yet, but I'm thinking to do so. I do not know how much this position's salary would be. I would appreciate if somebody can elaborate and tell me how is it gonna be working for this company. Most of all, the medical benefits.

Are't they located on SH-249 and a new building is rising up as well?

Thank you!

Agreed. Worst company I have ever worked for. Managers really have NO idea what you are doing. They could not do your job if their lives depended on it. Team leads are a bunch of self absorbed millennials who feel like they are owed. Also do not work one minute longer than they are suppose to work. Noble plays right into their hands. It is these millennials who really decided who would be laid-off. And thus the reason so many senior people were let go and their incompetent friends were kept. If you decide to work for Noble, I don't know why you would, be prepared to be disappointed.

Worst company I have ever worked for. Management in the Denver office is a joke! They have no clue how to manage. They are never in their office period. They are In meetings or buying coffee and buying lunch on their company card. Seen it happen everyday. After their meetings you don't hear a thing what is going on. Glad I left! For those thinking of working for this low class company, you will be sorry, guaranteed!

The management in the Denver office is a joke. Backbiting is so bad. These managers have no clue how to manage period. All they know how to do is kiss ass and have meetings after meetings. They do not know how to communicate or even work. Apparently, work does not matter. it is how well you kiss ass!

It is the same in the Denver office. Lots of whispering and closed door meetings. Managers trying to cover their a**. NO work being done. It is a sad story.

All I can say is adios Scott Balke. I'd rather be unemployed than EVER work another day under your management.

I am the only provider in my family, 6 folks depend on me. I'd leave if I could though.
