AUO Layoffs?

AUO doesn't seem to have many students left. I overheard a conversation referring to possible layoffs sooner rather than later. From my many years as an ADA here, my hunch is telling me it will be based on talk time. These reports my managers sends daily with our talk time #'s. Does anybody have any real news or updates?

Funny someone mentions calling the weather for talk time. There were meetings held that specifically addressed that. I think 4 people got fired for artificially upping their talk time that way. Not a good move, just call students already on the books and talk with them.

Talk time could be zero as long as you meet your plan...you can call the weather to get talk time up...so...again, leave the updates to the professionals and adults.

88408- youre statement is wrong. EDMC consistently lays off the wrong people. And they consistently never lay off any of the managers or directors. Those are the a$$ hats that need to go!! It's not the low level staff running thst place into the ground.

"From my many years as an ADA here, my hunch is telling me it will be based on talk time.". You're an idiot.... You can have all the take time and still not have any students. I doubt you've been here very long because there never seems to be a constant in any layoffs..

I heard the same thing. Talk time reports will determine a portion of the next layoff.

I've heard the highest paid veterans should worry if they aren't hitting all their plans. Much more cost effective to hire newbies and bring them in at a much lower salary and higher expectations. There is a 10 year veteran ADA in my department that makes over 80k and another that now works in the School of Psychology that is bringing about the same. School of Psychology is struggling so I think that ADA should be worried.
