Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

Baker Hughes' approach to downsizing!

I saw today that Baker Hughes is closing their office near College Station. Here's what it says about their layoffs: "Terminated employees will be paid for a 60-day period, and benefits will continue for three months following the closure." We would have been happy had Marathon kept our benefits active for at least one month so our healthcare would have transitioned without interruption! For the sake of others in this situation, I'm glad to see that industry is not looking at Marathon as an example to follow!

100% agree with you on the benefits front. However, the way Baker is treating people being laid off is just as ice cold as MOC treated all of their laid off employees.
