Yeah, it's pretty complicated, so don't feel bad. 7881- Good for you, but this is a board about layoffs and events at a corrupt college the feds shut down. You should expect criticism and pushback against practices that led to thousands being saddled for life with gigantic debts that they simply cannot pay, debts that have ruined their life.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense and reasoning would see that the trend over the last 30 years was going to come to a head eventually. Colleges have been jacking up costs at triple inflation or even higher since the 1970s and yet wages are actually down for recent college graduates. It should also be common sense that when a recent graduate is paying 30-40% of what they make on housing costs, when they're paying more for healthcare, when they have no job security or retirement savings or anything else then obviously a hyper inflated bill to sallie mae every month that does nothing is not going to get paid - and more importantly shouldn't be paid. Because of the ridiculous protections republicans put in place in 1998 and 2005 students in this mess have no other options besides not paying to get the attention and changes that have been desperately needed for many years. Criticizing one person and calling them names does nothing but make you look like tools.

OP - Camden Kid is widely despised here. No, it's absolutely not one or a couple of people, which is obvious if you come here often and read the different reactions to his posts. We have good reason to dislike him.
