The employees are walked out the door but the contractors remain. Talk the talk but don't walk the walk Ryan Lance. The contractors are now doing the work of the employees involved in the layoffs.

Worst company I've ever worked for, and that's saying something…..Canada would be one of the BU's where there are still Contactors remaining.
Some of the things thatare going on are mind boggling (screwing people on severance) and even downright illegal (apparently in Canada there has been an interoffice communication telling Managers that they are not to give any recently released employees 'positive' references, as a way of minimizing 'risk' to the company)
Who in their right mind would want to work for these losers if they had any other option? Glad I left on my own when I did, but feeling for those who did not leave on their own terms.

I often get impression that what matters is your connection, not your competency or your contribution
I learned back in the 80s & 90s layoffs that it is stupid to be loyal to an employer. I left COP 5 yrs ago, because I recognized serious mismanagement issues, from the top on down.
Anybody who has been around in the energy business long enough knows that there are up and down cycles. During the up cycles, save as much money as you can because you will need it for a rainy day,
Loyalty to COP was always there for me, now I am so ashamed of this company. To treat their employees like they are is wrong. I hope what goes around comes around to those making these STUPID decisions.
Contract employees for which disciplines? Which location, BUs and groups are you referring to?
