2/20/15 "Ryan Lance told employees this morning during his annual VCIP town hall that reduction of ConocoPhillips' direct workforce by 10% will begin soon and will be finished by April. He said that there would be no early retirement packages offered and that he "trusts his managers to know who the good performers are". He said that the cuts would be fair and transparent and that the severance package that is on the books would apply." However, I was let go along with many others "my age" with 20-35 years of service. My performance rating was a strong 3. I asked them what selectrion criteria was used to choose me, since I did not meet the perormance criteria. They said they wouldn't or couldn 't tell me!! They did say that selection based on performance was a rumor. A RUMOR?????
