Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Really....

Please stop with these ridiculous rumors that aren't even proving to be true. Worrying working adults that rely on income from their company is no laughing matter.

Well Really, Looks like some heads rolled... Freshen up your resume, gather some reference letters and personal contact information, try to network with people outside the EDMC entities. Survival tactics for 2015. Word.

Not rumors, facts. See the posts above regarding the schools that have halted the "new starts" for April. 3 for 3 from the list.

The remarks here, other than the obvious trolls, are about 100 percent spot on. Sorry it disturbs you.

Really, if you are so naive to think another RIF is coming you should quit reading these posts. I was an Admissions Manager for 3 years in the Chandler SUO center. AR's are awesome but the senior management is horrible. DR is one of the most unprofessional individuals that I have ever met. Good Luck with the RIF today and I hope all of the people let go find positions with companies that will recognize you for your hard work.

I think paying health insurance for the people who will leave is the least worry of the executive lineup

If this is not true, I bet this site will lose a lot of followers because it will prove how false it really is.

Correct tomorrow is the day. Since last day of employment is in April, they are already committed to paying insurance premiums for April. Tomorrow will be the day.

It is April 2nd people. You are getting confused by the people who post about march 31st and the insurance premiums. Tomorrow!

No the original date that I have heard and only heard was the day before Good Friday which is April 2, not March 31 or April 1st.

Really. You can put your head in the sand and act like the sector and EDMC in particular are incurring significant headwinds or you can be prepared. The choice is yours. Make the right one it won't be me or my family struggling.

This statement has nothing to do with that. STOP giving false communication. March 31st was a lie. April 1 was a lie.
