Are the president in the Dean notified and then that same day they notify the campus or do they know a few days prior? When the Teachout was announced at Brown Mackie was it during a break or during the month?

The President's are notified through their offices at CS months in advance. When you see the reduction in staff members, people suddenly disappearing between one class start to another and everyone being quiet. either firings have quietly occurred or lay-offs are on the near horizons. Each year, EDMC and all of their schools meets in March and April time frame and are given a platform of how much of their operating budget they must cut (RIF-Layoff). The actual layoffs will occur starting in May throughout the end of June. The schools leadership teams better known as an EC meets and quietly discuss and swear to secrecy as they go through each department and slice people off the payroll. As you look at the staff members, they are all sitting on pens and needles now as they know D-day is before them and wondering who will remain and who will go.
This is a sad time for schools as if they would be for the students and not focus solely on making money, things will be different. These schools have disconnected with the local communities which they serve and as a result, EDMC is suffering. Many other schools have reduced cost for students, made it easy for students to pay their bills over time, yet EDMC continues to start new and former students, then hound them for high payments and kick them out of school with no notice. When this occurs, they hold the student transcripts so they can't go to other schools with the credits they have honestly earned. Some schools are adjusting students payments after they start (raising them) and this is unfair and causing severe hardships among us. These schools, especially the Brown Mackie ones have loss their student focus and are only focus at getting our money, giving us half knowledgeable instructors, financial aid hunting students down and pulling them out of class as well as dropping students on the spot with embarrassment, while they student pull our aide from the government. This is sad and we deserve better!
The highest levels all knew as the students are they're last worry is the mentality of the unethical process
A lot of students got screwed! But that's ok because of these people called Attorney Generals and DOJ. They have phone numbers and email addresses believe it or not. They sure were glad we contacted them.

No break it was Jan 9th I was a student and they just sent out emails. I can tell you the months leading up to it you could tell something was up? Library closed a lot same with store and student services office. Like they put staff on part time or something and hung signs on doors telling people to see the secretary in admin if the needed assistance. I knew they were going done and I was a student. Teachers and staff acted like all was well. What a joke lol.
