When is Staples going to announce the next round of layoffs/closures with the SDOs? We are almost in April now and I thought there would have been more new/movement. I think they were suppos'd say something last month but it never came out.....so tired of waiting and listening only to not hear anything!!

Glendale , La Mirada closed, San Diego in June, Chatsworth? Ontario? Dallas?
they are gonna close all the sdos and send everthing to a 3rd party carrier. If you are smart, you will get out before that happens. they shut us down, and all i hear is bad things from some of my old customers. My girlfriend orders from staples at work, and she is getting her stuff 2-4 days after she orders. she used to get her order in the morning. now she is getting her orders 30-60 beofre they close at 5pm. She aint happy about it. The company she works for orders a lot of stuff that they need right away. She has had to go to Sams club to get cases of paper, legle pads, and even pens because she was out. she told me that when she does get her order, its never the same carrier driver. The customers are the ones that are hurting. You want customer loyalty but dont want to give business loyalty. Soon, customers are going to order from some other officee supply company because of lousy service. Then what will Staples do? How long will they let the customers suffer from loousy service, or 2-4 day service. Im glad i got ouot when i did.
If you're in an sdo and have been told you will be updated in June as to the next round of closures, prepare yourself now, because your sdo will be one of the ones to be informed it is closing when June comes.

Per district manager for locations in New York State the next round of closings will be announced in June. Staples plans to wrap this up by the end of this year and all remaining locations will be shut down.
One sdo was told in February that they would get an update in June, I wouldn't expect to hear anything before then.
