A lot of people bring home $2500 every 2 weeks and still doesn't mean they can go buy some huge house or pay a thousand a month in student loans.. All it takes is one sick kid, a sick parent, buying at the wrong time or a bad interest rate, a car repair, a medical bill, or trying to get married and that $2500 doesn't last very long. There are MANY parts of the country where a one bedroom apartment costs over $3000 a month by itself, aside from any other bills.

Many of you are forgetting or conveniently ignoring the fact that CCi lied to prospective students. No amount of research by these students would have revealed these lies. Student made decisions about attending based on these lies. There are many investigations still underway regarding CCi's lies to students, and I hope JM, BBu, BW, BBo, and many of the other ELT end up in prison for what they did to students AND American taxpayers. If these students today continue to fail doing their researches before attending a for profit schools of their choice, then they should be held fully accountable for their mistakes. However, cut some slacks for the students that were unaware or were simply got screwed. Maybe these were the students that didn't have Google, Yelp, Glassdoor, and other social medias bullshit to spread the rumors like wildfire. They simply didn't have that much resources available compared today.

I agree that they need to clear five thousand dollars a month to pay their bills. With a five hundred dollar cellphone bill and a thousand dollar a month drug habit there's not much left to pay a loan payment. Plus you have to throw in a couple hundred dollars for tattoos each month and I see why they can't pay their bills.

373 In the real world, your degree in Liberal Arts may be worthless as it sounds;) Yes, it should be forgiven, as well for the folks that received their degrees in Electronics, IT, Medical, and Criminal Justice that can't find jobs because employers view them as worthless. I went on the site and they ask you a shitload of personal questions and then get to a part where they say "Now we’ll prompt you to describe different aspects of your experience with Everest" and you're to check all that apply from 14 statements (all starting with "they misled me about..."). Then you get to a section headed with "Now we'll ask you to explain how the conduct you’ve already described here by Everest caused you harm you and put you in debt." and you check off any of a bunch of options including "stress or emotional pain." Then there's statement "If Everest hadn't lied and misled me in the ways I just described, I would not have attended or continued to attend." Of course the only option there is to check "I agree" to continue. Hilarious!

How about they pay their debt!!!!!!!!!!!!! They should have read what they signed and they should have researched how sorry Everest was as a college before attending it. It's not hard......you type in a google search and you will see how sorry the school is so they didn't do all that so it's not the schools fault they need to pay their loans!
