And the other part is, make copies of everything you ever did an conversations notes emails in the event you later need to file a lawsuit, becuase guess what, those docs suddenly dont exist if you cant produce them yourself. The best way is to email copies to yourself so they are time dated and will be accepted as legitimate evidence in court. Even just notes about a conversation with a superior is important. Its always he said she said but if you can produce a note from the time while you were there it looks a lot more litigate in front of a judge. Worse case you never need to use them and cant toss them out after you leave.
Some people clean out their desk at the end of every quarter.
