The real problem is the oversized corporate groups and incompetent major capital projects organization. Now that they are permeating the operating groups to survive (like parasites), Conoco is terminal!

It isn't Ryan Lance's fault the oil prices are down, but when we were already operating "lean", why did they hire SO MANY NEW GRADS??? That didn't even make sense, and some of them aren't busy. I guess it is out with the old (more expensive) employees and in with the new (cheap) employees.
The ConocoPhillips social media public relations engine at work.. wrong place, wrong time. Management bet the farm on high oil prices and management lost the bet. Ryan Lance is management.
Sorry to hear about this. It's really unfortunate. However, to say this is Ryan Lance's fault is ignorant and naive. Times are really tough right. How many of us would be making dramatic cuts to our expenses if our incomes were suddenly cut by 60%? I, for one, am amazed at the level of patience and restraint that our Management is showing.
