I think it is ironic in a new Staples commercial there is a Staples Delivery Driver featured delivering product and breakroom supplies. This infuriated me since I lost my delivery job position several months ago when they closed my SDO.

Lets get a class action lawsuit and sue Staples for false advertisement. You want a TRUE commercial, this is how it would go:
Lady: Oh WOW! My Staples order is here!! Did you bring the coffee, huh, did ya?
Driver: Where do you want your shit?
Lady: Did you bring my sugar? Huh, did ya?
Driver: Look lady, i dont have time for this.
Driver leaves her order wherever he wants to.
Announcer guy: Hey, she finally got her order that she placed 2 weeks ago. That was NOT easy! But the company did save millions and millions of dollars by switching to a 3rd party courier.
Third party couriers are delivering our orders already and we haven't even closed yet. I've been hearing stories of how these 3rd party couriers are leaving packages on the side walk or on customers driveways. Now that is really great customer service! (Sarcasm)
I'm not a driver but work in an office that had an SDO that closed in December. That commercial needs to be taken off the air in respect for the former and to be former drivers. Tasteless.
They should have had a commercial highlighting the future 'Staples driver', which will be someone in a UPS or Fed Ex uniform. Or, some 3rd party courier in a sweaty undershirt getting paid a buck a box showing up to the business, chucking the cartons through the front door, saying "here's your shit" and peeling out of the parking lot.
I agree.. I work at a SDO that is still open.. and we are all concerned the end is near... we don't have a date yet.. but we know its coming.. after seeing that commercial, looks like there trying to send a message to the people who buy from Staples... the Staples driver could be a extinct...
