Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Layoff in April...KKR is taking over

Expect layoffs in April for sure. KKR is a company known to runs a business profitably will be stepping in on April 1st taking over 100% control; and that no April fools joke. Unlike EDMC’s current upper management whom have a deplorable track record of the inability to make a decision resulting in a “not-profitable company”, South University excluded.

Although we’re tired of EDMC talk, KKR will most likely make us walk.

April first they say, who will stay?

Outsource it all, they call…It’s the only way to get paid.

Tic-toc, tic-toc, watch the clock

KKR has required a CV or bio fro ALL Campus Presidents and Deans along with org charts. The spiral will be starting from the top down this time...interesting. you might be packing your desk at the same time your CP and Dean are packing theirs. Ahhh camaraderie.

84338...read some on the newest postings. BMC had a slay fest..so....be prepared...next week is the grim reaper...what proof do you need BTW? The last quarter blood letting should have been enough and the recent slay of campus presidents. So, you need more than that?

It is true that KKR is one of the biggest holders of preferred stock, but they are only one of over 200 ENTITIES that will hold most of the voting shares of stock after receiving all regulatory approvals. Please note that the transaction is still subject to the approval of a few states, a few accrediting bodies, and the Department of Education. Do not believe that changes are imminent due to the reputation presented in the original post.

After all is completed, new board members will likely be voted upon at a shareholders meeting. Only then will control truly change.
