Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

WFT Stop keeping us hanging on

If any of the top men in WFT are keeping tabs on this site then you need to push these layoffs out? Working with the threat of being paid off is taking its toll you know who's going just tell the employees affected at least we can start looking for new work rather than playing this lottery game, we are adults its not in our interests to start sabotaging anything WFT whilst working out our notice! We may need to come back to this industry so it would not look good if we stuck a virus in the system or filed down a few connection threads? You could always stick us on gardening leave but please just move things on. If you are as some suggest hanging off with layoffs in the hope of an upturn please communicate this down the line there's a lot of bad blood brewing between employees and management maybe you can salvage back some of the family values we heard so much of in the good times by being more upfront and honest.

You will be kept until the work you are doing is finished..meaning....there is a need for you at the moment. When that need is fulfilled, then you will be gone. As time goes on and the price of a barrel of oil either stands as is or drops, the layoffs will continue. A lot of folks don't feel as you do and get very vindictive knowing they will be gone and will destroy equipment or sabotage supplies and equipment. Other industries do the same thing. Escort the ex employee off the property as soon as they are terminated to prevent any destruction.

You may NOT be the one terminated. Word is that 50 percent of the work force will be kept. You might be in that 50 percent. Hang in there. No body else is hiring anyway. There is a hiring freeze across the industry or at least in most places.
