Confused as to the logic in Canada

Seems the folks making the decisions for Pressure Pumping have never been through a down turn! They are shutting down all the remedial support i.e. acid and cement in Canada! What do they think the oil companies frac during the slow times? Sending cement trucks to service out of two large bases makes no sense at all!

They probably getting ready to sell you all as part of the assets that they have to sell because of the merger.

Halliburton has sooooo many cementing contracts in Canada. It will be wonderful to have so much work again :/

What a joke. Let's think about he history in Canada...Baker inherits BJ titan...dumps it...BJ emerges in early 90s...pulls out of Canada shortly there after because there is no money in Canada. Then hostile take over of Nowsco in '96 and buys Fracmaster assets in 1999 paints everything blue and white only to announce the new BJ name plate in 2000 or 2001. But remember BJ never changed management in Canada...until Baker MERGED with BJ...we lost market share and profit in Canada because someone knew better and was to arrogant to listen. And here we are being bought by HAL because BHI management couldn't listen or realize that maybe somebody knew what they were talking about...Bill S where were you through all of this? Just give up cause you made your millions the first go around? Sad really that being such a "completely compliant" company we are to be purchased by one that is not!

They are just finishing up cementing contacts then they will shut down that bases too.

What a laugh....HAL has been pulling out of Canada year over year. They get smaller every year cause they can't compete here...seems neither can we. Guess Trican will prevail.
