While I'm from the other Coast, I always admired the way FP fought back and showed that D&D can be done better at home than in Asia. That with the right discipline, Talent, and technologies, they could make things faster, better and cheaper than the china office. Unfortunately Mattel really hated that. They were in your current situation many many years ago, then saw as the tail wagged the dog and FP could still do better than the Corporate HQ. So sorry to see what's happening there, as it's the death knell of a great business and wonderful team. What the upper management is doing to this company is criminal.

Amen brother. Sadly, Mattel has been cost cutting every other way possible (cheap products, thin plastic, no features, no magic, no fun). Since crap is the new norm, China can make crap quickly and cheaply without any stateside meddling. It's a win-win for the bean counters.
