SDO Closings?

Any of our inside people have any new information regarding the SDO closings? Would love to see a list of what locations are slated for closure. Does anybody know if the plan is still to close ALL SDOs in 2015?

Staples will be closing SDO,s, Sharon, Ma., Manchester, CT they already have third party curriers lined up to take over in the next few months, they are just going to lock them up no merger with office depot no jobs billion dollar hit. This is coming from the inside.

Easy with the slave talk. You get paid to work, no one is forcing you to be there.

The rumers about fullerton closing were floating around since early last year. Most of the old timers were in denial. Some of us could read the writing on the wall, we knew we would meet our fate after peak and knew we would be gone before back to school. You believed everything management told us, shame on you, this is STAPLES. They have never given a rat's ass about us, your just a number on a spread sheet, who has to meet your daily metrics or get written up. As for Kaiser we are just a third party courier for Jordan Brown. But hay, whats done is done. It does not matter if we read the writing on the wall or were shocked by the news. Were all out of a job in just over three weeks..Good luck.

La mirada SDO was so busy since last June we heard rumors but never thought it would hit here, so when it did, it was a huge blow, we handle some of the most costly accounts and with kaiser coming back we all thought we were safe at least for a while, but no we are scheduled to close April 17 and there's nothing that could change that. All sdo's will eventually close..

About the only thing that could possibly slow down the closings of the remaining SDO locations that haven't been given actual closure dates yet would be a spike in cargo loss when the fleet transitions over to 3rd party courier for those SDOs that have already closed. And I say 'possibly slow down' going strictly by a speculating-out-my-ass theory that should cargo loss spike, the company might decide to work out the bugs with the couriers before going forward with more SDO closings, so as to get a systemic template in place to prevent said loss going forward. But Office Depot went 3rd party years ago. Plus, both California and Florida are going 3rd party this year. 2 huge states. After that, anybody on the SDO side thinking they might be safe might want to think again. Maybe if the FTC approves the Staples/Depot merger that could slow the SDO closings, but I doubt it. By the end of 2016 at the latest, all the SDOs will be gone.

Haven't heard anything but I don't see them keeping any open. I am to the point I wish they would let us know. They are working us like slaves at my SDO and it's getting old!
