Stores are not run properly. ...its chaos from open to close...I am drained. .the employees are disgruntled. ..customers suffer....a big company like staples should be able to see this...just look at your managers face!...sad...they beat you up.....almost break you...then write you up...put on a pip....then your gone!.. Sad because this could of been the company to work for IF they just listened and worked with the stores to make things better. But no...let's just make it worse..write people up for job not completed when there is no one to do it!.."HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT " NERVOUS BREAKDOWN..high STRESS workplace should be on the application

Unions are money makers. No union has any want to be part of one staples store. Wages are so small and turn over is so high there is no money in it for a union to make. You need 50% of you store (hourly) to sign for a union. In one year if the store didn't close, half of those who signed on would have moved on and a new vote would take place. What would a union get us? Not more hours. Not more money. Not a better work environment. Just less money In our paycheck. This company breaks down to simple economics. If you store does $4m, you can average 264 hours a week (over a year) to stay in the black, figuring 22,000sq ft building open 85 hours a week with a $30,000 a month rent. Sadly these figures Show a bleak future as wages raise, prices go up, and buildings look rattier and rattier. If it hasn't been said ten times already: get out. You're not happy. And you won't be happy with the future changes. Sticking around for the 12 weeks of Severence while on a pip is not worth the hassle and harassment. They don't want stores. Period. A union won't change their mind.
"Well...it's happening. ...the people are NOT happy " They do not care. Complain all you want, they will just point you towards the door. Unionize and they will close that location. They do not give a rat's ass about anyone outside the corporate inner circle.
Well...it's happening. ...the people are NOT happy
They will close any store where a union vote is passed.
mistreated...humiliation. .awful hours for managers...ridiculous accually. .open close open...10 days in a row until a day off...it's a crazy/poor circle of a work place, and it shows..I hope they don't get offended when a union is formed.
Complaints will not matter. Framingham knows how stores are run. They want the illusion of efficiency and organization when they visit, but they know its all a façade.
It is an intentional strategy to run the stores on as little payroll as possible as well as driving people out by progressive write ups over things they can not control or stressing them out until they just quit. Either way it ends up as less severance when they finally close the store.
Your summation of current store conditions is quite accurate by my measures and stand point. However no one in authority who reads this forum and has the authority to do anything about it is here. I'm guessing it's time we start posting to the Presidential complaints office with copies of these posts and see if anything happens...
