Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

CSE L-3 Camden NJ Questions

How many L-3 heads (in number est.) at that division today?

What is the new target number in near future?

Estimated guess when the layoffs could begin please?

It sickens me that my hard earned money gets squandered away for these programs provided by these true terrorist..in most cases these systems are used to spy on citizens and Lockheed uses their tools for murder..how dare any of them asking for tax breaks while the city of Camden rots away..how do any of you sleep at night..souless bastards .people such as yourselves are why I support abortions because that is exactly what your mothers should have done js

If we look at recent merger & acquisition moves in the defense industry, companies sell off parts of their business that do not fit into their overall plan. Also, companies usually package up a fairly sizable list of divisions. I do not think that selling CS-East (Camden) meets these criteria. More likely would be moving business (contracts) from Camden to other L-3 locations, but that has not happened yet. I think the same tax advantages that brought Lockheed Martin and the other new tenant to Camden will keep L-3 in Camden as well, at least for the foreseeable future. And if I'm wrong, hey, what of it.

If L-3 cse Camden nj is making profit

Can't understand it but it seems there is work guessing then that division could

Be purchased by a competitor once they layoff 200 more folks to get to 500 heads.

Then competitor who buys cse will do away w cse remaining heads and take the work to help grow their own business unit

No wonder CSE suffers: Deflect, deflect, deflect; Don't answer the question; Take credit for other's successes.

Anonymous68337, I know you are really Anonymous68012, you can't fool me, you are sniffing for info. What, do you work for an evil competitor? CSE now employs over 25,000 people at more than 70 locations worldwide and will soon be expanding into Argentina. Wait I mean we will be buying Argentina in order to shelter our massive profits. L-3, We Bring Good Things To Light. Or something.

I believe the current count is approx 700. Last I was told, 500 was the magic number.
