If they were going to be, they would have presented a clear vision with a long term plan. It does not appear they have or even intend to. ECMC bought it to help the ED in a pickle...which also makes me believe that ECMC is getting a BIG favor for,doing so. With falling student count, ECMC may only have to operate its sham school for a little while, just long enough to ensure that its enrollment is small enough to where a teach out is feasible. CCI was never small enough, zenith can be. This whole sale was engineered to kil CCI (which has happened), nothing more. A school that caters to sub prime students, created by a company that specializes in collecting sub prime debt, can not be successful. Also, to all of you complaining about ECMC not being different then CCI: shut the f*** up. You are the same fools who were going to go to regulators thinking that that would force CCI to be ethical. Well, you saw how THAT turned out. If you were comfortable with staying with CCI and still with them now, you obviously have no issue with working for a boiler room, unethical, bottom feeding organization. Personally, going to the Feds and giving them hours of reading material was one of the biggest pleasures of my life. Knowing I contributed to the destruction of a predatory shithole like CCI makes my day. I hoped for an immediate destruction, but I am happy with the results.

At least the employees that work at doing as little as possible still have place to continue to do as little as possible. The entire place is a setup. They were told they would get caught and they did.
OP - you pretty much nailed it. Nothing about this deal and the way they're behaving makes any sense as a long-term venture. Everyone who can should get out ASAP. I just did and made sure to mention to HR during my orientation last week that they should try to avoid hiring any CCI/Everest/Zenith managers. I explained that they are a really shady bunch and a legal liability.
Wait...so Zenith is the new ownder for Heald? Is this a new sale. I did not hear tnything but I saw Heald people were getting a fedx from Zenith, but I got nothing today. Is it a holiday? Or do only the retainerd people get the package? I want to know if I still got my job tomorrow!
