Management told me that round 2 will start as soon as all early retirement people respond. Supposedly the new goal is to layoff the total 8000 asap rather than wait until the next quarter.

These layoffs would probably not be necessary if managers were not allowed to purchase all the beer they can buy for personal consumption. On Christmas Eve they can go to a sporting goods store and purchase $500 in gift cards for "customers". I considered that money stolen from WFT. It is money that "working" employees could have been paid. Going out to eat with family and friends locally with a ticket of $500 for a meal but, coded as "meal with customers".
Be sure to check the positions on list vs working employees. The general list has employees who are not on the list and still working. Noone will ever know their status and keep working. HR will not respond.
My manager does the same thing. We called Listen Up 3 times on him wanna know what happened. NOTHING!!!! Except he threatened to fire whoever called.
Here is what my manager does to deserve a bonus. Goes on vacation with company truck and gas card. Uses P card for whatever he wants. Takes himself and his family to eat all the time then expenses it out. And we reward him for that

Bonuses were already handed out to everyone mentioned in the 1-27-2015 memo from the CEO. Just check the SEC filings for 1-29-2015. Tens of millions of dollars were given away. I am sure Area Managers and up will receive their full bonus payout. We shall see.
