For more evidence on how they do not promote from within let me give you another story. In 2011 I told my manager I wanted to apply for other positions within the company and applied for a couple that I was well qualified for...never heard anything back not even a rejection. Out of spite at one point I applied for over 20 positions in a month and sent personalized emails to each recruiter (got their names from HR) for each. Not one of them ever replied to me, interviewed me, or had the courtesy to tell me why not. I met with HR to complain and they said the recruiters were supposed to at least explain why I did not qualify and that they would speak to the recruiters to find out why they were not doing so. Long story short HR never did anything. One thing I did find out is just about all the job openings posted on Weatherford's internet site are absolutely fake. They do not post the jobs until AFTER they already hired someone, this has been confirmed with someone in HR even though it absolutely violates their own internal HR policy. All the recruiters are outside consultants and do not give a damn about Weatherford employees.

all you have to do is quit and they will hire you back and give you a better position and pay. I have witnessed this many of times just ask the Bryan RCD Hub and RCD in Pearland...
