Journey management???

Is this something we could cut out to save jobs? Why do we need to call when we travel outside 20miles but apparently no one is traveling. How much do we pay that company? If we cut 5000 jobs, isn't that a lot less calls they get? Can someone please explain this. Maybe if we post ways to save jobs without bashing people the uppers will take note and work to help us common folk keep our jobs.

I traveled dozens of times between Houston corporate and Benbrook Wireline facility by rental car and was never once even told about this Journey Management program or that it even existed. After over 5 years of working for the company someone mentioned it in a safety meeting and thats the only way I found out but still nobody told me to use it.

I have seen employees not close journeys and when they call the manager he just closes it and says they are fine. What "if" they are dead in a ditch. They just think cell service is everywhere and if we dont check than we are fine. And when journey thinks roads are too bad they call the manager for approval and they think roads are fine and approve it. Journey management is the result of bad managers. Managers should always know when a worker is on the road and where they are at all times. The workers can call or text when they leave and when they arrive at jobsite and it only cost a text message charge. That cost maybe .25 cents not the salary of the ones who work for journey management. But seriously whose family member runs journey management?

Yep journey is a big JOKE what a big waste of money your department can keep tabs on us better cause your work area knows the work area location and roads we could call our dispatch office journey can't help anyway journey is actually a driving and job distraction if you forget to call back managers don't leave to find you anyway they just get mad at you and scorn you
