Thread regarding Universal Technical Institute Inc. layoffs

Going, going, gone.

I feel like I needed to start a new thread because I am starting to feel as if UTI management puppets are contaminating our posts and threads now. Is UTI that scared and intimidated by their own employees that instead of listening to us or trying to help the situation that they are actually just trying to stop our message or poison our threads with lies? That is so incredibly sad and pathetic. To Kim and your yes men, we all love this company and what we can do, we don't want UTI to fall but we need to fix it before we all just fade into oblivion. All we, OK maybe just I need is that you acknowledge our pain and struggles. Most of us are working very, very hard for this company but we keep getting screwed over when it comes to raises or benefits. Kim we are actual people who are and have been hurting financially for the last 5 or 6 years. Our families are suffering and yet you continue to reward yourself and your ineffective VP's who put us into this situation.

You are correct sir. No instructor at the Ranch is going to say or do anything unless they are assured they will not be fired. Kim, how sad is your management that your own employees are scared to death that if they speak up or talk about unionizing you will terminate them in a heartbeat? Do you enjoy ruling by terror??? When you talk to your employees does it bother you that most of them despise you and just tell you what you want to hear so you don't terminate them? Kim, every instructor I talk to freaking hates you!!!!! All you do is lie to us while you suck up all our profits for yourself and your friends while we are dying.

To "Lets be smart" I apologize if you are not a UTI plant who is trying to tear the instructors apart but these instructors who continue to demand the preferred morning shift while the other instructors suffer are pieces of crap. How can a decent human being allow someone else to suffer knowing that they can help them? I just pray that the drivability instructors at the ranch don't get screwed over because Bow has become part of their team. I know that very soon I will be moved to night or afternoon OR afternoon, night schedule and it is fine as long as it is fair. Very soon I will say goodbye to my wife and kids for the entire week and it will suck but I will do it. To lets be smart, I read that you have contacted a union. If that is true can you please post a website where we can log onto, while still being anonymous to get information?

Good morning my friends, once again I was woken up by my daughter who is still terrified by some bully at school. Kim thanks again for cheating me out of a cost of living increase so you could get 1.7 million last year and for being able to give out 2 million in bonuses last quarter. I WILL find out where that 2 million went and I will post it so everyone knows it. As I have said before if Cranston gets any of it OR Sherrill Smith I will puke. Can anyone please post if Cranston is staying a full 8 hours? And I know that it is only a rumor but has Sherrill stopped hitting women or people that are weaker then him? I am not saying that the abuse charges are true but there is compelling evidence to the fact. There was a restraining order filed against a Sherrill Smith about the same time as his wife was mercilessly attacked. I hope that the Arizona police finally find out who hurt her.

Lets make one thing perfectly clear, I am no Kim plant "the Voice" all i was implying is that fighting amongst our self’s isn’t good in the long run. I agree its not fair to have one instructor work one shift, i just think putting our energy in a different direction work benefits us as instructors better. And just one more thing if you are ready to actually protect yourself and the other instructors just post on this thread I’m ready. I have already talked to a union (and a powerful one) and they say they would be more than happy to talk to us and move forward. But I don’t think that all the instructors have the balls to pull this off just my opinion.

I and others have actually begged to get any response from our questions and pain but nothing. Kim you cannot honestly expect to receive honest feedback if you have to send it under your own E-mail address do you? What is happening on this site is most of the instructors conversations in the break rooms. That is what keeps me going knowing that I am speaking for the majority of us. I know that you and legal are trying to tell yourselves that I am just a small percentage of your instructors but I assure you that I am with the majority. Did you not see the 125,000 views before your plant shut it down? Anyway was anyone able to find out where the 2 million in bonuses were paid out to last quarter? I am still looking and will let my friends know as soon as I do. If one penny went to Cranston I am going to throw up. Keep fighting my friends

Friends, I have been thinking about this all weekend and I have come to the conclusion that personally I am going to wait and see what my yearly review and raise are this year. If our raises are once again embarrassing and pathetic then I will ask that once all three sessions at the Ranch line up we have a sick out and if that does not get managements attention we unionize. Honestly I have never really cared for unions but if that is the only way to get decent wages, respect and protection against petty campus presidents (Napoleon), then maybe we have to. I understand that it will put us a day behind and it will hurt our students but what else can we do?

Mr. Voice I am so thankful that you are back, started a new thread and have not given up. I am pretty sure that I know your identity but I will never rat you out to upper management my friend. Two years ago I applied and was accepted to be an Education Manager. I just wanted to lead a team, be an awesome manager and make positive changes at the Rancho campus. I tried but had to listen to Napoleon rant and rave about how much he hated our instructors AND had to listen to "Can I axe you Quisha" that it broke my spirit. All they wanted was to push students through the program regardless of whether they knew the material or not. I have seen and had to fire a lot of good instructors who would not give in and bend to the wishes of management. If any of you are reading this I am so sorry. I hope that everyone of you has found good employment elsewhere. I know that you were let go for petty things just because you would not sell out your morals and I am sorry. I honestly hope that if UTI turns itself around that you will be contacted and asked to please return. Mr. Voice please don't give up because we need the truth and your dedication.

Once again Kim my offer is on the table. Announce that you will give me safe passage and I will work until my fingers bleed to help turn around the Ranch and do as much as I can to help the entire company. I just do not understand why you are so scared of us and what we have to say. Unless you don't care anymore and just want to suck out as much money as possible until you are replaced or UTI finally dies. At least stop trying to turn us against each other with your plants on this site. I still can't believe that you resorted to having a plant take down this original "Going, Going, Gone" site. Anyway good morning Kimberly and I hope you think about what I have written this weekend. Remember I will never give up nor will I ever surrender. Don't you want a person like that on your side. Or if you worked in the Mercedes program you could NEVER work mornings only because Bow had that shift all locked up. Oh and yes he was switched to another course but he still has the morning only!!! So now those instructors are getting screwed over. I am very happy with what Meg is trying to do with the schedule and with what she is doing with the afternoon shift. Honestly Meg and Roger, thank you very much. I and every instructor I talk to is very, very grateful for that. It is too bad that you will never know our gratitude though because YOU NEVER HAVE OR NEVER WILL READ THIS SITE. LOL, LOL, LOL. Kim I can't believe that you sent that E-mail with the legal team telling all upper management to say that they must deny ever reading this site and to announce that they never will. So tell me Kim how are we supposed to express our honest opinions about UTI by sending an E-mail under our own account?????? LOL.

Also to your plant that said we should stop complaining about instructors that only work their preferred shift. Let us just say that you are an instructor at UTI Rancho and every time you work an afternoon or night OR an afternoon and night schedule you do not see your wife and children from Sunday until the next Saturday because of the hours. You are fine with the fact that sometimes it happens and you take your turn and do not complain but then an employee comes in and never has to work any other shift then the morning. This means you spend more time away from your family and this person NEVER has to spend time away from their family. Please tell me how is this fair!!! Heck at the Ranch for a long time if you worked course 1, you never hd the chance to work a morning only shift because Kitterman and Robar had those locked up.

Kim, why do you continue to have people reply to our posts that are so obviously your plants? It was your plant that took down the original "Going, going, gone" site and then you tried to poison the freedom of speech one? WE ARE NOT STUPID KIM!!!! For years we have seen through all your lies and just went along with it but now as you take away more and more of our benefits while you continue to hire or bring back ineffective management we can no longer just stand by and say nothing. Do you have any idea how much money the Ranch would make if you just took care of us? One person that posted on the "Speech" post said that a lot of instructors at the Ranch could not actually fix cars. This is because most instructors at the Ranch just refuse to fix clip cars after work, it is not that they can't fix them but they just don't give a crap anymore. Why should they do anything extra if they do not get any reward for doing so. You mean I will get the same crappy raise and benefits by doing nothing OR if I kill myself working on the training aides? OK, I choose doing nothing!!!
