Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Belk still forcing associates to do inventory despite poor results

Belk’s inventory results have repeatedly been bad for most store locations. Belk has had to do inventory recounts after reconciling January inventories. However, Belk does not want to hire any outside consultants or companies to assist with inventory preparation or conduct a proper inventory. This is baffling, because most other big box retailers have outside companies complete their inventories.

We are supposed to be off the very next day after inventory is over. I would say something to the scheduler.

My schedule for 5 nights is 8pm to 3am,then I work 2 day shifts before I get a day off.Im really concerned about falling asleep on my way home.Im older and it's been probably 20 years since I set up to midnight.I can't believe this company cares so little for their employees. I don't mind doing the 3am to 10am like years past.I believe this puts us in a dangerous situation.

I worked at RGIS back in the day. Can confirm, avoid RGIS if you can.

Regis is terrible, outside company is not the way to go. You just need associates who care and want great results
