There seems to be consensus that there will be no layoffs before the mid-Feb the earliest. That would be good. Gives us more time to back up.

Raises come in March. It's always February.
There were meetings last week in Plano planning the new structure. L9+ call is scheduled for Friday.
The VRPs gave some several months notice, but VRPs are an agreement between both parties so there is a little bit of negotiation. Layoffs are a same-day deal where you're expected to leave the premises immediately.
how much notice do they typically give you so you have to stay to get a severance package?
What's happening the week if jan 20th?
There are layoff talks starting Jan 6
Your Job is never secure at PepsiCo.
Always have a back up plan.
Are the cuts/layoffs going to reach plant level ?
Anymore plants scheduled to close ?
Sales volumes & stock price falling like a rock !!
I would start looking elsewhere if you have not already. Effectively what amounts to pay cuts and increased workloads coming your way. Don’t believe the organizational health propaganda or empty promises that will come to sugar coat this.
I’m expecting that layoff talk in my first 2025 one-on-one meeting. I have all three strikes against me. (1) Age, (2) White, (3) Male. I’m a goner for sure!
I would not snooze through the week of Jan 20th if I were still employed by PepsiCo!! I took the VRP so what are they going to do to me now if I spill the beans here? Already had 4 other companies track me down to talk coming over to them. There is life beyond the toxic sip and chip culture!
