Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Overtime will break me

And it’s all mgmt’s fault. There are ways to organize the workload so we don’t repeatedly fall into a frenzied state. Clearly, they’ve never heard of them.

It's happening in our area too. People are working from 6:30 am to 7 pm and weekends and on one hand they are telling us not to use OT... Then they complain that our work isn't getting done. They've tripled out workload in the last 3 months. And the director is out of her element... Sending stupid letters to staff quoting stats that are irrelevant. We have people crying in the daily. And... Even tho we've tried talking to managers , they are telling us they have no recourse.

It is so wild that they still use the use it or loose it policy for PTO with so many hourly employee's - just ensuring that they will need OT for the end of year coverage so much.

They would rather have a ton of new clueless people and turnover than just pay people good wages so they stick around

Why are you surprised? Mgmt is probably doing it on purpose seeing as how they want to push everyone out. Just quit already!

Sounds like FI to me!! Making every role hop into the queues to cause complete chaos. I wonder why phone volume and errors are skyrocketing?!?
