This mentality is typical of what sweatshops do. Punching a clock on a laptop or computer is so lame. To the je-k weed on this forum who said those who worked 7.75 hours never worked those hours. You're right. How many dedicated employees (and yes, they do exist) worked after hours for nothing except to ensure their workload didn't pile up? This was sprung on employees just around X-Mas via email without explaining via a virtual conference who would be impacted and those who aren't. Look, I get the FLSA stuff. But to pull this on the sly is sick 🤢 and twisted. Guaranteed productivity will take a HUGE hit 🎯 because anyone affected will be clock watching and ensuring they enter their time at the anointed hours.
Meanwhile, management suffers from a severe case of hemorectul inversion. When they're in that position, maybe that can finally do something useful like look for polyps...
@@bjv+1w7QoFfd lucky you. First, most of us could not even log into 'punch in' as per the norm the server tried to blow up due to the number of people logging in at the same time? I guess. Then no instructions were given, is there any leeway if you log in 20 seconds or 1 min early or late? I feel like I'm back in the 80s punching in for my warehouse job. I don't understand why everything this company does only makes things more difficult for their employees. Time is Money. Work Smart Work Hard Together. Ya right.
They didn’t communicate any change because they wanted to get a free half-hour from you, typical Canon incompetence and deceptive business practices.
Were missing the point, don't care about the half hr, it's not knowing it was happening!
Really? We are fussing about a half hour? How about the other 100 times you did nothing at work for a half hour
Who cares ...we are talking about a 1/2-hour hour difference... 30 minutes is not going to ki-l anyone, only those that do nothing for 7.75 hours of the day!
All the women in the room I work in were having a meltdown over the new clocking in procedures. I’m salaried, so no problems for me, muhahaha.
It's one of the new Sam-ji values being inscribed out front to replace San-Ji. This one is named Clock-Su
