I haven’t been here long enough to know. Does PepsiCo usually lay people off around the holidays or at the start of the year?

Everyone, please prepare for massive layoffs/changes, likely starting in February. Not trying to scare everyone, just being honest. Maybe start looking for a new job now, especially those on the Quaker business.
True on last note. But this is assuming HR is neutral. Not quite sold on that.
If you want a package, ask for one. Unless you're extremely valuable on the open market or have a skill set that Pepsi needs for a time frame of A-Z, they don’t want people who don’t want to be here. If you walked into HR and said, “I would like to volunteer for a severance. I hate everything this company stands for, but I will stay until you can buy me out,” that’ll get that team focused on you getting a package, quick.
Just give me a package and I'll go quietly.
Hoping enough people under Steven Williams take the VrP.
They usually have a layoff in mid-February, the traditional St Valentine's Day M-a-s-s-a-c-r-e ....it's a time honored PEP tradition that Al Capone would be proud of
The company has a history of layoffs timed around 2nd - 3rd week of February.
