Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Complete AIGnext

Pete said that the Company is performing very well, but somehow I got the impression that he highlighted only what it was convenient for him and his croonies. In the last slide he also showed that AIG Next has yet to be completed, meaning a lot of riffs are coming in the next months... No words about RTO, in Europe lot of rules, unions agreements and smaller job market, not so easy to replace some key figures if they leave
Happy 2025!

It’s AIG, why would anyone trust their financials? Selling businesses isn’t a strategy, it’s milking what’s left, which is a much narrower book of business. Dont worry though, the leaders are well taken care of. The golden handcuffs of big bonuses drive all behavior, not culture or any of the DEI nonsense on display when discussing AI. Our tech stack is a dumpster fire, too, based on all the “remediation” work my guys in technology are doing.

Company is definitely not performing well I work in the accounting team and it’s all lies. The CFO is constantly talking about how our competitors are beating us in the market.
