Trump administration and low carbon ventures

What is the take on LCV with the Trump presidency?
Incoming DOE Secretary Chris Wright reportedly believes that global warming is happening, but that is not going be a disaster and that the cost of fighting it is not worth it. If so, it seems that Wright might support carbon sequestration as a viable preventative measure.
Thoughts?

LCV will tank under the new administration. They don’t value anything connected with the environment. This is a sad comment on the American people who voted for this je-k DT. We are all to blame, even the Dems, for not putting forward a stronger candidate.

@6aka+1w2gXZEb, and your source for this is what again? You and the six friends in your book club?

Has anyone done a look back on capital wasted with this LCV scheme. Think about what a great dividend could have been paid without this foolish effort.

The President Elect is pumping up LNG exports for the future. Last time I checked burning natural gas generates lots of greenhouse gases which is counter to any efforts to reduce carbon. Say goodbye to making money off of LCV. Of course anyone with any brain cells would know that any low carbon technology promoted by oil companies is only oriented to polluting the earth more with fossil fuels. It is not an extreme left opinion anymore. It is more mainstream thinking.

Current approved projects are fine. Future projects at high risk. I would not want to be part of DAC in the current environment.

Without subsidies, this industry may disappear.

It seems likely that all government handouts to Oxy are now at risk. The government wants oil companies to concentrate on producing hydrocarbons.
