It's is the harbinger of bad things to come. I saw it at GE. The same things happened insurance got worse benefits cut. Then the pension was canceled for all new employees. The stock went to sh-t and 401k balance s dropped. A lean profitable sinking ship. For the old get out in a few years. For youngsters make an escape plan and excute it before it is too late. Don't stay on the titanic with the band. If you don't believe look at the history it will happen again.

Does the name really matter? At the end of the day the insurance is self funded. BCBS/Delta are just administrators. Sure there’s savings based on their costs but…

Yes I agree with the negative nellies. It is a way to cut costs. This is just a beginning and it will erode the benefits. Exxon benefits are on a downward slope like most of our ratings. The time of great benefits and a lifetime career at exxon is going away fast. Soon the pension will be phased out as well. Then all work will move to India. EMHC will just be a shell controlling the low cost countries like india, Argentina and others. I remember from my economics classes that labor was the greatest expense for a corporation.

Sorry peasants, corporation comes first.

People are our lowest priority

Highest priority is cutting costs

Apparently KM doesn’t know much about how dental insurance really works. If we don't provide a realistic pay schedule, the only dentists we get to see are the scam dentists who file fraudulent claims to get their payments up.

With a little time, KM may gain enough experience to understand the predictable consequences of her cost cutting. Maybe she will even learn to ask, β€œand then what?”

I had the same experience. This is the same delta dental that started as the pay agent for the state welfare programs before it became the pay agent for Obamacare.

We haven't even got our cards or group numbers. The admin just gave us the telephone number and told us to call to get the information. So much for exxon cares about their greatest asset employees. We employees are their greatest costs or liabilities. So much for things getting better.
