'There will be isolated pruning of individuals and small groups of individuals.'

That just sounds wrong.

There will be isolated pruning of individuals and small groups of individuals.

Oh, "isolated pruning of individuals"? Sounds like someone's trying to dress up layoffs in a fancy garden party outfit.

They can terminate your employment for any reason, at any time.

What if someone is part of a big project, then what?

There won't be any notable layoffs, nor are any planned.

There will be isolated pruning of individuals and small groups of individuals.

Furthermore, some people will be leaving the organization who were notified earlier this year that their time with Alteryx was finite (i.e. to train their replacements in India). Those folks' time is coming to an end soon. These departures should be considered part of the May 2024 layoff, not net-new layoffs.

Alteryx is At-will employment
  • At-will employment is an employer's ability to dismiss an employee for any reason, and without warning, as long as the reason is not illegal.
  • They can terminate your employment for any reason, at any time.
  • A colleague of mine lost her job, and all they told her was that her services were no longer needed.

They fancy maintaining a bit of suspense with a dash of perpetual tension, don't they? T

  • Alteryx is At-will employment

At-will employment is an employer's ability to dismiss an employee for any reason, and without warning, as long as the reason is not illegal.

When an employee is acknowledged as being hired "at will", courts deny the employee any claim for loss resulting from the dismissal.

Make sense?
