I heard that they are planning to cut Global portfolio Engineering.
Do you know anything?

Global Portfolio Engineering (aka Commercial Engineering) was once a premier unit within the organization and filled with the best of the best. These experts could solve anything that came their way and many advanced their careers from this viability. Unfortunately, it's been devalued by the management over the years. Getting rid of post sales support was the nail in the coffin. Today there are too few left to justify the cost of it's existence. I believe there is still a business need for GPE, but not as it's run today.
It appears the conversation has gone off topic, maybe I'll start a new thread so people can vent.
It’s obvious Veena was another poor choice and McKinsey told Blake to hire an insider for m&a but he only listens when it is convenient. I do like 3m cubik sandpaper. I wonder what adhesive and abrasives is Veena competent in? And how does that play into industrial automation. Blake is a dolt. His picks are horrendous. Honeywell will buy Rockwell at a discount once their activist investor splits automation and aviation. You could see this a mile away. Except Rockwell’s incompet board members…..
I see Veena is at AutoFlagellation Fair. Anywhere as long as she doesn't have to work and it's on the company dime. In the name of diversity of course. Where do they dig up these people?
There are way too many redundant layers of managers/directors/VPs/sVPs completely detached from the market, customer, products. The fact that company can pay for salaries, bonuses, stocks to so many “incompletent and clearly self centered” leaders is a mystery.
These folks will fire an entire development teams to save $ and boost their bonuses.
I like the word salad of the Rockwell leaders at auto fair. Auto fair is the most incestuous circlej--kAnd the dolts in charge now would tell you to SELL!!!! Blake has ruined the company. The board is full of id--ts. Ask Rob, he will tell you why he is smart but worked at Cisco post 2001 and now sells hard drives. He is just an indication of Blake’s pathetic picks. Rockwell is flat to declining in 2025. In the best automation market in the planet!!!! Wake up and leave.
Probably. The VP travels so frequently on the company dime and the director acts like he cares. Neither understands the business but will end making so much more than the worker bees.
I’d ask if you think the management team is competent. They have shed so much talent in the last 5 years both individual contributors and senior management. Now look at what is left. The messages from autofair are hopeful gibberish from a foolish ceo. Compare that to Siemens message at sps. No comparison. Blake has ruined Rockwell.
It looks like GPE roles along with more sales, administrative roles will be eliminated. Sadly, more cuts will take place before q2.
