Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What’s next?

More layoffs? Anything else would actually require imagination and leadership skills.

Watch revenue per head and operating cash flows... the layoffs will continue until these improve.

Intel committed to get to break even on operating cash flows in 2025... I'll believe it when I see it.

Tried every which way and nothing works... so something is broken with process and culture:

ARM

@OP
I have the degree, I have the experience, and I am not getting responses to applications in fields that I am qualified to work in. The job market really su-ks right now.

Arm gaining market share in data centers is the next concern for $INTC.

And leadership kept some of the laziest employee's I have ever worked with. Hopefully they are training their replacements; because in no way should some of those people be collecting a check.

Leadership failed the hardworking, dedicated people who have to deal with that.

It's not easy to find jobs at this moment.
Hang on as best you can and avoid getting laid off.
It won't end well but you want to push it off for as long as possible.

Nothing is going to change in intel. Go find another place. You can not change attitude of leadership team here. Leadership team here wants to make their career better by jumping to other BUs. You will be fooled by new leaders. Reason for failure is leadership but they get to decide whom to CPM. That’s irony . Good night…. Fully frustrated employee

If the CHIPS act money doesn't come in, it will be serious.

If the CHIPS act money does not come in, that will be a real problem.

I suspect the plan when PG came back was to try to clean up the product and foundry side cost structure, and that is what is happening.

If by some miracle the product side produces a hit or two, then the lower cost structure flows to earnings, and Team Blue is happy.

If (more likely) x86 is about to be eclipsed by ARM in PC and Datacenter, then the product divisions need to be merged with AMD and/or Qualcomm. Intel then is a Foundry or that is also merged or sold, and Intel goes the way of so many tech companies and Conglomerates.

Either way, I think the plan is to extract maximum value from the company, even if it is going the way of GE.
