Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Axing Timeline

Realistically, are we expecting January to be when this all goes down? I’m a noob PSG 19 so don’t know jack. If anyone with more experience can help give some insight so my anxiety can calm down a little that’d be greeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaat. TIA

"will it be done before bonus payout" As long as you last until January 1 you will get your bonus when let go (Feb. 1 to keep you stock opton if you have any coming).

HR is targeting September and they always go last. Gotta process the people out before they push us off the cliff.

Process kicks off in Jan or Feb, plenty of folks who were left standing in the last PDC are being kept on until then to have one more chance in the hunger games

This is not 2015 and 2020… in 2025, there will be a revealing of the org chart with boxes. You don’t apply for jobs. Managers just pick the people and put them in boxes. If you’re not in a box, game over.

Announcements were supposed to happen before holidays, but I'm guessing they somewhat do have a heart, but also they are tying in the SR move, ENGINE and overall layoffs. ELT keeps saying "early" 2025, but January keeps on popping up as well. If they want to "fix" our organization all in 2025, they better get it out sooner than later.

Back in 2015 and 2020, it started with new org chart and everyone had to re-apply their own job and 2 other posts. Then everything settle and become effective on November. There were option for EOI for people to raise their hand and take severance (2 weeks pay per year for 2015 and 3 weeks pay per year for 2020 if I remember correctly). Of course anything can change this round but hopefully that gives you an idea.

Chevron is a process detail company, any decision takes many mo ths, execution of it even longer, realistically you should think about it sometime around June/September based on past layoff efforts timeliness.
